Privacy is one of the core ideas behind One Baby.
This page explains, in plain language, what information stays on your device, what information may be shared with us if you choose to participate, and how we try to handle family data responsibly.
The Cry Analyzer
By default, cry analysis runs directly on your device. When you tap the microphone, the recording is processed locally by the on-device model so the app can return a prediction quickly and privately.
For most users, recordings never leave the phone.
Optional model improvement program
Some parents may choose to help improve One Baby by contributing anonymized recordings and prediction feedback. This program is completely optional and turned off by default.
If enabled, short cry samples and related prediction results may be securely uploaded to help improve model accuracy, reduce bias, and better understand real-world crying patterns across ages and environments.
Before anything is shared:
- you are clearly asked for permission
- participation can be turned off anytime
- uploaded recordings are anonymized
- recordings are separated from account identity whenever possible
You can also request deletion of contributed recordings at any time.
Information we collect
Account information. The email address you provide when joining the waitlist or creating an account.
Baby profile information. Optional details such as your baby’s name, age, birth date, feeding logs, sleep logs, reminders, and milestones.
Optional contributed recordings. Only if you explicitly join the improvement program described above.
Device diagnostics. Basic technical information such as app version, OS version, and crash reports used to improve reliability.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect:
- continuous background audio
- phone contacts
- precise location
- photos outside content you intentionally upload
- microphone recordings outside the moments you explicitly activate
Retention
Account and profile information remains available while your account is active.
If you delete your account:
- personal account data is removed within 30 days
- backups expire automatically afterward
- contributed recordings tied to improvement programs can also be deleted upon request
Children
One Baby is designed for parents and caregivers, not children directly. Information concerning infants is treated with additional care and sensitivity.
Security
Sensitive data is encrypted during transfer and storage using modern industry standards. Access to production systems is limited to a very small number of approved team members and security activity is logged internally.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your information at any time by contacting pakshalindore15@gmail.com.
We aim to respond as quickly as possible and comply with applicable privacy laws including GDPR and India’s DPDP Act.
Changes
If our privacy practices change significantly, we will notify users clearly before those changes take effect.
