We treat infant-related data as deeply personal.
One Baby is designed so that private family moments stay as private as possible while still allowing parents to optionally contribute toward improving the model over time.
How recordings are handled
By default, cry analysis happens directly on your device.
For users who do not opt into improvement programs:
- recordings are processed locally
- recordings are not uploaded
- recordings are discarded after prediction
Optional improvement program
If users explicitly choose to help improve One Baby, short anonymized recordings and prediction feedback may be securely uploaded for research and model training purposes.
Participation is:
- optional
- disabled by default
- reversible at any time
We try to separate contributed recordings from identifying account information wherever possible.
Encryption
Data transferred between the app and servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher.
Stored account and profile information is encrypted at rest using managed cloud infrastructure and modern encryption standards.
Access controls
Internal systems are accessible only to a small set of approved team members. Administrative access is protected using authentication controls and activity logging.
Retention and deletion
Users may request deletion of their account information or contributed recordings at any time.
Deleted information is removed from production systems within 30 days, with backup expiration occurring afterward.
Vendors
We may use trusted infrastructure providers for hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, and payments. These providers only receive the minimum information necessary to operate their services.
Cry recordings are never shared with vendors for advertising purposes.
